Evolution People expands its SEO & Analytics offering with the launch of GEO Audit, a new service designed to help companies understand how their brand is represented across the leading generative engines.
In a landscape where users increasingly search for information through tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Overview, and AI Mode, organic visibility can no longer be measured solely through rankings within traditional Google search results. More and more often, a brand’s perception is shaped by an AI-generated response: a response capable of citing multiple sources, synthesizing information from official websites, external content, reviews, media outlets, and social platforms, ultimately delivering a representation that may or may not align with the company’s intended positioning.
GEO Audit was created precisely to address this new challenge: understanding whether a brand is mentioned by AI systems, how it is described, which sources are being used, and whether the generated information is accurate, up-to-date, and trustworthy.
The topic will also be explored during the free webinar in collaboration with Netcomm, “GEO Audit – Measuring Brand Presence in GenAI Engines”, hosted by Roberto Cirtoli, Managing Director & Partner at Evolution People, together with Federico Cima, SEO & Analytics Director. The webinar will provide an opportunity to discover Evolution People’s approach to Generative Engine Optimization and better understand how AI systems talk about brands.
A framework to measure visibility, accuracy, sentiment, and sources
The service is built on a structured process that starts with the definition of a set of prompts representative of real user searches: questions related to brand identity, offered services, reputation, company history, mission, competitive positioning, and other business-relevant topics.
Each prompt is then tested across the main generative engines, with the goal of collecting and analyzing generated responses, cited sources, and differences across AI environments.
“With GEO Audit, we want to bring methodology and measurability to an area that many companies still perceive as difficult to govern,” explains Federico Cima. “AI engines are rapidly becoming the primary discovery channel, making it essential for brands to actively manage this touchpoint. The first step is understanding whether a brand is mentioned in response to prompts that are strategically relevant to the business, and then investigating which information is being used, whether it is accurate, and whether it reflects a market positioning aligned with the company’s vision. Our work starts from prompts built around real user behavior and leads to a detailed analysis of visibility, accuracy, sentiment, and sourcing.”
The analysis makes it possible to verify, for each engine and each prompt, whether the brand is mentioned, which thematic areas emerge, what information is returned, and the level of precision achieved. A dedicated focus is also placed on sentiment analysis, evaluated by thematic area and by engine, in order to identify potential reputational risks or misaligned perceptions.
“It’s not enough to know whether or not a brand appears in an AI-generated response,” continues Cima. “It’s essential to understand where the information comes from and how strong, coherent, and updated that source ecosystem really is. That’s why our output is not just a collection of screenshots, but an operational report that includes sourcing evaluation, an AI Sentiment Matrix, and a prioritized action plan.”
The final report therefore provides a snapshot of the brand’s current presence within generative engines and outlines the actions needed to improve visibility, authority, and informational consistency: from content strategy and optimization of owned assets, to reputation source management and the SEO and technical interventions required to strengthen the overall digital ecosystem.
A new competitive frontier for brands
With the launch of GEO Audit, Evolution People further strengthens its positioning within the field of Generative Engine Optimization, the set of activities aimed at improving brand presence and representation across AI-powered engines.
“Search is undergoing a profound transformation,” comments Roberto Cirtoli. “Today, it is no longer enough for brands to simply be found on search engines: they must understand how they are being described by AI systems and whether the generated information reflects an accurate, coherent, and authoritative representation. GEO Audit was created specifically to help both B2B and B2C companies address this evolution through a concrete, measurable, and strategic approach. We look forward to welcoming you to the webinar on June 9th, organized in collaboration with Netcomm, where we will explore these topics together, engage directly with the Evolution People team, and answer specific questions on the subject.”
